 INNOVATE AND INVEST

The Ivory Foundation provides access to affordable housing, which is an essential component in building strong, diverse communities. The Ivory Foundation introduced Ivory Innovations in 2018, and under their leadership Hack-A-House and the Ivory Prize were created. These programs allow forward thinking businesses and students to explore innovative solutions to the housing affordability crisis. Hack-A-House began with a partnership with the University of Utah, and is now a competition between twenty of the top universities in the nation. The Ivory Prize provides a platform for hundreds of companies to compete for recognition, promotion, and a substantial cash award. Entrepreneurs are awarded for their ambitious, feasible, and scalable solutions to housing affordability. In 2020, the Ivory Foundation was also instrumental in the launch of the Utah Housing Preservation Fund. The partnership with Utah Non-Profit Housing Corporation, Intermountain Healthcare, and Zion's Bank works to provide a viable solution to preserve affordable housing in Utah.
